Welcome to the Educational Leadership & Administration component of the new School of Teacher Preparation, Administration and Leadership (TPAL).  The College of Education at New Mexico State University has recently merged the Departments of Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership & Administration and the Special Education component of Special Education and Communication Disorders into a single School of Teacher Preparation, Administration and Leadership.  The websites and supporting documents are undergoing revisions to update information and improve clarity.

Mission:

The mission of the Educational Leadership & Administration component of the School of Teacher Preparation, Administration and Leadership at New Mexico State University is to prepare and graduate capable, skillful and dynamic educational leaders for a diverse society. Through the use of theory and practice we aim to develop change agents and role models for socially-just educational systems.

The School adheres to the standards and guidelines defined by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA), and the New Mexico State Department of Education.
